Station Eleven stars Mackenzie Davis as Kirsten, a former child actor who survives a flu pandemic. Gael García Bernal portrays a famous movie star who dies shortly before a global catastrophe; Danielle Deadwyler co-stars as the author of a science fiction novel that Kirsten reads as an adult. Musically, the HBO Max series includes a variety of folk, funk and orchestral tracks, thanks to music supervisor Liza Richardson (Friday Night Lights, Narcos: Mexico).   • “Jingle Bells” by Bill Connor (00:20): Jeevan (Himesh Patel) leaves a voicemail for Frank (Nabhaan Rizwan). Young Kirsten (Matilda Lawler) inquires about Tanya and Arthur’s relationship. The music fades as the characters arrive at their destination.
  • “Toccata in D Minor, BWV 913: I. (Presto)” by Peter Wartchorn (00:23): Clark (David Wilmot) drinks alcohol and reads an article about Arthur. He briefly watches a flu-themed news report and says “No fucking thank you.” The music fades as Clark puts on his headphones.
  • “Carol of the Bells” by Crouch End Festival Chorus (00:28): Jeevan’s sister, Siya (Tiya Sircar), begins coughing at work. The Station Eleven soundtrack song kicks in as she walks through the hospital.
  • “Deck the Halls” by The Craig Gildner Sextet (00:36): Jeevan and Kirsten push grocery carts after encountering a sick man. They arrive at Frank’s building. The music continues as a security guard makes a call.
  • “O Trem Azul” by Lô Borges (00:38): Jeevan explains the flu outbreak to Frank. Kirsten gazes out the window. The music drops as a plane crashes outside the building.
  • “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” by Bob Dylan (00:40): The Station Eleven soundtrack song plays during an “80 Days After” time-jump. Jeevan leaves Frank’s apartment with Kirsten and heads towards Lake Michigan. An astronaut receives a radio signal from the two characters on Earth.
  • “Caprices for Solo Violin, Op. 1, Ms 25–caprice No. 24 (24)” by Steven Staryk (00:44): Kirsten, now an adult, reads Station Eleven. The music scores the end of the episode.
