True Detective is an anthology crime series. The storyline follows investigators as they experience supernatural activity while carrying out procedural routines. Composer Chanda Dancy (Devotion) scored the HBO series; music supervisor Andrea von Foerster (Yellowstone) picked the featured needle-drops. The Handsome Family recorded the season 1 theme song, “Far from Any Road,” while Leonard Cohen’s “Nevermind” is the season 2 theme music. In addition, season 3 features Cassandra Wilson’s “Death Letter,” and Billie Eilish’s “bury a friend” is used as the season 4 theme track. Here’s every song in True Detective.
