Love & Death stars Elizabeth Olsen as Candy Montgomery, a married Texas woman who pursues an affair in 1980. Jesse Plemons co-stars as Allan Gore, a married man who reluctantly agrees to a sexual relationship with the main character. The storyline follows Candy as she defends her actions after a murder. Composer Jeff Russo (Fargo) scored the HBO Max series; music supervisor Robin Urdang (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) handled the featured needle-drops. In addition, Nina Simone is featured on the the intro track, “Don’t Let Me Be Mistunderstood.” Here’s every song in Love & Death, an adaptation of Jim Atkinson and John Bloom’s 1984 novel Evidence of Love.
