Now streaming on HBO Max, The Night House stars Rebecca Hall as a widow named Beth. Canadian actress Sarah Goldberg co-stars as Claire, a teacher who worries about her friend’s mental health. The storyline follows Beth as she investigates her late husband’s past upon experiencing paranormal activity at her lake home. Composer Ben Lovett (The Ritual) scored the 110-minute film; music supervisor Taylor Rowley (Lady Buds) organized the featured needle-drops. Here’s every song in The Night House.

The Night House Soundtrack: Every Song in the 2020 Movie
- “The Calvary Cross” by Richard Thompson & Linda Thompson (00:03:00): The Night House soundtrack song kicks in during the title sequence. Beth holds her husband’s suicide letter and drinks wine. The track plays again at 00:22:00 during a morning sequence. Beth wakes up and seems to receive a text from Owen (Evan Jonigkeit). The Night House soundtrack song can be heard again at 01:21:00 as Beth takes a shower. She looks around her home and breaks down in tears.
- “Kiss My Tears Away” by The Fabulous Terrifics Band (00:32:00): Beth hangs out with colleagues. The music plays in the background during a bar sequence. Beth reads Owen’s suicide note.
- “O Holy Night” by Timothy Dominique Benjamin (01:30:00): Beth sees a ghost. Owen appears to sit on a couch next to a Christmas tree. The Night House soundtrack song plays as Death speaks to Beth.
