The Regime stars Kate Winslet as Elena Vernham, the Chancellor of a fictional Central European republic. Matthias Schoenaerts co-stars as Herbert Zubak, a disgraced soldier who looks after the protagonist. The storyline follows the main players as they plot against their critics. Composers Alexandre Desplat (The King’s Speech) and Alex Heffes (State of Play) scored the HBO Max series; music supervisor Lynden Campbell (The Banshees of Inisherin) selected the featured needle-drops.
