Only Murders in the Building Season 2 - Hulu Updates for Release Date, Cast and Trailer

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Hulu greenlit Only Murders in the Building season 2 on September 14, 2021. The streaming service renewed the series on the same day of the episode 5 premiere. Only Murders in the Building season 2 will presumably release in August 2022, at least if Hulu keeps the same schedule.

All of the main series protagonists will return for Only Murders in the Building season 2. The first installment ends with the revelation that Jan killed Tim after a romantic break-up. In the season finale, she attempts to murder Charles-Haden but gets exposed through a secret recording. Martin’s character survives and returns to the Arconia with his pals Mabel and Oliver. The final sequence of Only Murders in the Building season 1 teases a new storyline, as Gomez’s character is found with the dead body of Arconia board member Bunny (Jayne Houdyshell), presumably after killing her with a knitting needle.

Only Murders in the Building season 2 will reportedly examine the protagonists’ reputations amongst fellow New Yorkers. According to co-creator John Hoffman, the narrative will focus specifically on how Mabel, Charles-Haden and Oliver are “celebrated or talked about the wrong way.” Saturday Night Live alum Tina Fey will seemingly reprise her role as podcast host Cinda Canning, who intends to investigate Bunny’s murder and Mabel’s involvement. This Vague Visages article will be updated when Hulu releases a trailer for Only Murders in the Building season 2.
