School Spirits stars Peyton List as Maddie Nears, a teenager who investigates her murder from the afterlife. Kristian Flores co-stars as Simon Elroy, a student who can communicate with his dead friend. The storyline follows Maddie as she participates in an afterlife therapy group while learning the dark truth about Split River High School. Composer Anna Waronker (Yellowjackets) scored the Paramount+ series and recorded the theme song, “Long Gone”; music supervisor Whitney Pilzer (The Offer) picked the featured needle-drops.
