Silverton Siege stars Thabo Rametsi as Calvin Khumalo, a freedom fighter who participates in a South African liberation movement in 1980. Noxolo Dlamini and Stefan Erasmus co-star as the protagonist’s respective comrades, Terra and Aldo. The storyline follows Calvin and company as they attempt to sabotage a strategic capital point with no civilian casualties. Composer Rashid Lanie (Kalushi: The Story of Solomon Mahlangu) scored the 100-minute Netflix film; MT Music Notes handled the music supervision. Here’s every song in Silverton Siege.

  • “Zombie” by Fela Kuti (00:28:00): Calvin asks for a hostage volunteer. He chooses a white man to be his “American.” The Silverton Siege soundtrack song kicks in as Calvin exits a bank and approaches a helicopter. He heads back after the plain fails.
  • “I Need Some Money” by Chicco Twala (00:44:00): Calvin pushes a crate of money. Terra watches after a hostage confrontation. Calvin receives a phone call. Johan Langerman (Arnold Vosloo) states that the release of Nelson Mandela will take time.
  • “Impi” by Johnny Clegg and Juluka (00:48:00): Cornelius Washington (Shane Wellington) lights a pile of money. Calvin screams “Free Nelson Mandela!” Langerman tries to resume hostage negotiations as the Silverton Siege soundtrack song continues. Calvin engages with the press.
  • “Hamba Kahle Umkhonto” by Philip Miller (01:22:00): Christine (Elani Dekker) dies after being shot by a sniper. Calvin covers her body with a blanket. The music scores a transition sequence. Langerman confronts Christine’s killer.
  • “Asimbonanga” by Zano Mbutho (01:33:00): Calvin and Terra fire their weapons as the film ends. The Silverton Siege soundtrack song scores the epilogue and end credits.
