Isabela Merced Movies: Father of the Bride
Per The Hollywood Reporter’s April 2021 exclusive, Merced will co-star in the latest Father of the Bride adaptation. She portrays the sister of the titular female character, with the narrative focusing on the familial dynamics of a Cuban-American family. Father of the Bride stars Adria Arjona, who plays Merced’s mother in Sweet Girl. Andy Garcia and Gloria Estefan round out the main cast as the focal parents. Gaz Alazraki (Club de Cuervos) directed Father of the Bride, which features a screenplay adaptation by Matt Lopez (Race to Witch Mountain). A release date hasn’t been set.

Isabela Merced Movies: Rosaline
In June 2021, Deadline reported that Merced has been cast in the upcoming dramedy Rosaline. Based on Rebecca Serle’s 2010 novel When You Were Mine, the adaptation tells a modern tale about William Shakespeare’s characters Romeo and Juliet. 20th Century Studios hired Yes, God, Yes filmmaker Karen Maine to direct Rosaline, which was written by the Oscar-nominated Scott Neustadter (The Disaster Artist). Kaitlyn Dever (Booksmart) stars as the title character, who observes the romantic relationship of her cousin Juliet (Merced). Rosaline is currently in the pre-production phase.
Isabela Merced doesn’t have any upcoming TV roles as of now. In the past, she starred as CJ Martin in the Nickelodeon series 100 Things to Do Before High School (2014-16). This article will be updated as Merced’s career progresses.
