Playdate stars Alan Ritchson as Jeff Eamon, a U.S. Army veteran. Kevin James co-stars as Brian Jennings, a forensic accountant who wants to bond with his step-son. The storyline follows the main players as they get mixed up in a military conspiracy. Composer Jeff Cardoni (Young Sheldon) scored the 93-minute Amazon film; music supervisor Rupert Hollier (The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare) selected the featured needle-drops. Jeff drives a vehicle during a chase scene. Brian, CJ (Banks Pierce) and Lucas (Benjamin Pajak) worry about their safety.
  • “Four Leaf Clover” by Benjamin Pajak (00:03:00): Emily (Sarah Chalke) talks to her husband, Brian, about their son, Lucas. She says, “I mean, maybe he’s just not a sports kind of kid at all.” Lucas sings via social media during a transition shot.
  • “Big Bootys Winning” by Ms. Money (00:07:00): An interior sequence begins at the Jennings home. The Playdate music plays from a speaker system. Lucas performs a dance sequence for his mother and father.
  • “Boogie Shoes” by KC & The Sunshine Band (00:22:00): The Playdate soundtrack song scores a fight sequence at Buckee Cheese. Jeff attacks an employee. He squares off against “Clive” Lead Merc (Jason William Day).
  • “Gimme Some Lovin'” by The Spencer Davis Group (00:26:00): A Buckee Cheese sequence continues. Jeff exits the building with Brian, CJ and Lucas. He admits that he doesn’t have a son.
  • “The Rhythm of the Night” by Corona (00:29:00): Jeff drives a vehicle. He looks at Brian and says, “Just let me do my thing” before playing a song. The track is featured again at 01:06:00 and 01:20:00.
  • “Without You” by Harry Nilsson (00:37:00): Jeff tells a story to Brian. The Playdate soundtrack song plays as he rescues CJ during a flashback sequence. The music plays again at 00:39:00.
  • “Flower Duet” by Extreme Production Music USA/Extreme Music Library Ltd (00:38:00): CJ and Lucas drink “Liquid Psycho.” They consume one thousand milligrams of caffeine. The tune accompanies a slo-mo sequence.
  • “Straight Outta Compton” by N.W.A. (00:40:00): Lucas confronts a bully (Chase Petriw as Kurt-Meanie #1). The Playdate music continues during a fight sequence. CJ attacks a group of bullies.
  • “Rolling Memories” by Charlie Nguyen Kim (00:50:00): Brian bonds with Jeff during a car scene. The Playdate soundtrack song continues during a transition sequence. Jeff and CJ enjoy a meal.
  • “Slam That Jam” by Russell Stephen McNamara (00:51:00): Jeff and company leave a food truck area. They talk about Galifinak-ish (Paul Walter Hauser in an uncredited role). Jeff says, “We’re gonna pretend to bang him.”
