Self Reliance stars Jake Johnson as Tommy, a Los Angeles native who struggles after the end of a 23-year relationship. Anna Kendrick co-stars as Maddy, the protagonist’s manipulative love interest. The storyline follows Tommy as he hopes to win one million dollars in a dark web hunting competition. Composer Dan Romer (Beasts of the Southern Wild) scored the 85-minute film; music supervisor Jessica Berndt (Along for the Ride) selected the featured needle-drops.
