Black Crab Soundtrack - Every Song in the 2022 Netflix Movie

The Black Crab soundtrack includes music by Dead People and David Bowie. This info article contains spoilers and song details for Adam Berg’s 2022 Netflix movie. Check out Vague Visages’ Soundtracks of Cinema section for more music guides.

Black Crab stars Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) as Caroline Edh, a speed skater-turned-soldier who hopes to reunite with her daughter in a post-apocalyptic world. Jakob Oftebro (Kon-Tiki) co-stars as Nylund, a lieutenant who leads a crucial military mission. Caroline trusts her instincts but doesn’t quite understand the bigger picture and how it connects to her missing child. The storyline follows six soldiers as they skate across a lake with technology that could save or end the world. Musically, two needle-drop tunes bookend the narrative. Here’s every featured song in Black Crab, a thriller featuring supporting performance from Dar Salim (Game of Thrones), Erik Enge (Tigers), Ardalan Esmaili (The Charmer) and Aliette Opheim (Patriot).

  • “Five Years” by David Bowie (00:00:00): Caroline listens to a radio report in her vehicle. The Black Crab soundtrack song plays as she changes the station. Vanja (Stella Marcimain Klintberg) inquires about the radio report, specifically the news about local violence. Caroline changes the subject and recalls her grandmother selecting the karaoke song during a past trip to Copenhagen. Bowie’s lyrics foreshadow the destruction of Earth. The Black Crab soundtrack song fades as masked men kill citizens, shortly before the title card appears onscreen.
  • “Stay Dead” by Dead People (01:46:00): Caroline makes the ultimate sacrifice. Nylund watches from the safety of a helicopter; the track plays as he sits in silence. Caroline reunites with Vanja underwater in a fantastical movie-ending sequence. The Black Crab soundtrack song fades during the final moments and then picks up during the end credits.
