Train Dreams Soundtrack: Every Song in the 2025 Netflix Movie
- “Train Dreams” by Nick Cave (01:35:00): The Train Dreams soundtrack song scores the film’s end credits. Lyrically, the track tells the story of an individual who recalls his life experiences and pain. “Train Dream” references “the space that connects” the narrator’s present and future, which in turn parallels the film’s narrative about Robert’s life as he tries to understand the disappearance of his wife and daughter, and what all it means in the grand scheme of things. The Train Dreams music also references a series of events that the narrator has witnessed, and how he figuratively carries weight on his shoulders for “years and years and years and years and years and years and years.” It’s a spot-on tune that precedes an uncredited post-movie tune sung by the character Arn Peeples (William H. Macy) — a man who influences Robert with his wisdom and life stories. The song “Train Dreams” also suggests that the narrator finds some type of existential balance via his experiences, evidenced by references to things that are “measured in truth” and “measured in love.”
