The Silencing stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Rayburn, a former fur trapper who operates a wildlife sanctuary. Annabelle Wallis co-stars as Gustafson, the local sheriff who protects her misfit brother. The storyline follows Rayburn as he investigates a series of murders. Composers Brooke Blair (Blue Ruin) and Will Blair (Green Room) scored the 93-minute film; music supervisors Rupert Hollier (Moonfall) and Andy Ross (Whiplash) selected the featured needle-drops. - “Bottom of the World” by GravelRoad (00:20:00): The Silencing soundtrack song accompanies an interior scene. Rayburn visits a bar. Music plays from the speaker system. Rayburn talks to Alice about the disappearance of his daughter. The characters discuss a recent crime. Rayburn complains about not being able to find his daughter.
- “Deuces Are Wild” by Howell-Freundlich Overdrive (00:34:00): Gustafson enters a bar. Music plays from the speaker system. Roger (Mark Charles Cowling) states that he is looking for the sheriff’s brother, Brooks (Hero Fiennes Tiffin). The Silencing soundtrack song continues as Gustafson inquires about the whereabouts of Sam Moonlood (Gregory “Dominic” Odjig). Roger tells Patty (Heather Stevenson) not to offer up any information.
- “Just Say When” by Shane Cook (01:11:00): Rayburn exits his vehicle. He enters a bar. Country music plays from the speaker system. Rayburn tells the bartender that he intends to settle his debt. The main protagonist leaves and spots a black truck.
