The Amateur stars Rami Malek as Heller, a CIA cryptographer. Laurence Fishburne co-stars as Henderson, the protagonist’s agency mentor for combat training. The storyline follows Rami as he seeks revenge against his wife’s killers. Composer Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front) scored the 122-minute film, which features a total of 10 credited neeele-drops.   • “Shellshock” by Allen Watts and Paul Denton (00:58:00): Heller navigates a night club in Marseilles. The Amateur soundtrack song plays as he thinks about Gretchen (Barbara Probst) getting struck by a vehicle. Heller flees from a dance area as Henderson observes him.
  • “Souffrances Parallèles” by Brasco feat. Nubi (01:00:00): Heller enters another night club in Marseilles. The track plays from the speaker system. Heller tries to calm himself and then flees from Henderson. The characters reunite at a bar and talk about the task at hand.
  • “La Flemme” by Nell Widmer (01:16:00): Heller visits a bar. The Amateur music plays from the speaker system. Heller talks to Inquiline (Caitríona Balfe) about being followed by a male CIA agent. He says, “We go as planned.”
