The Town stars Ben Affleck as Doug MacRay, a criminal from the Charlestown neighborhood of Boston. Rebecca Hall co-stars as Claire Keesey, a woman who inadvertently forms a romantic relationship with a man who robbed her bank. The storyline follows Doug as he attempts to begin a new life in Florida. Composers David Buckley (The Sandman) and Harry Gregson-Williams (Shrek) scored the 125-minute film, which features a total of five credited needle-drops. - “Whatcha Say” by Jason Derulo (00:14:00): Krista (Blake Lively) enters a bar. The Town soundtrack song plays from the speaker system. Doug enjoys an adult beverage. He chats with Krista about a fight.
- “Run It” by Slaine and Statik Selektah (00:35:00): Krista attends a house party. Music plays from a speaker system during an exterior sequence. James (Jeremy Renner) hangs out with Gloansy (George Carroll). FBI agent Adam Frawley (Jon Hamm) surveils the scene with his colleague, Dino (Titus Welliver).
- “Jolene” by Ray LaMontagne (01:58:00): The Town soundtrack song plays during the film’s end credits. Doug disappears from Charlestown. He leaves money and a note for Claire. It reads: “Claire… Take this. You’ll do better with it than I can. By the time you read this, I’ll be long gone. Not the way I planned it, but for the first time in my life, I’m leavin’ this city. Maybe if I go, I can stop lookin.’ No matter how much you change, you still have to pay the price for the things you’ve done. So, I got a long road. But I know I’ll see you again. This side or the other.” The Town music sets in moments later.
