- “Lovefingers” by Silver Apples (00:03:00): The U.S. President (Nick Offerman) finishes a speech. The Civil War soundtrack song kicks in during a transition sequence. Lee rides in a vehicle with Joel.
- “Rocket USA” by Suicide (00:16:00): The Civil War music accompanies a travel sequence. Lee and her colleagues begin an 857-mile trip to Washington D.C. Joel drives a white “Press” vehicle.
- “Say No Go” by De La Soul (00:38:00): Joel and Jessie witness a murder. The music sets in during a reaction shot. A montage sequence begins in which Jessie documents more crimes.
- “Sweet Little Sister” by Skid Row (00:59:00): A vehicle tails Lee and her colleagues. The Civil War soundtrack song plays from the approaching car. Tony (Nelson Lee) grins at his surprised friends before Jessie leaps into his vehicle.
