The Brazen soundtrack includes music by Roosevelt Nettles and Chris Gestrin. This info article contains spoilers for Monika Mitchell’s 2022 Netflix movie. Check out Vague Visages’ Soundtracks of Cinema section for more music guides.
Brazen stars Alyssa Milano as Grace, a true crime novelist who investigates the murder of her sister. Sam Page co-stars as Ed, a police officer and the protagonist’s love interest. The storyline follows the main characters as they learn about an online dominatrix community and a possible connection to a high school student. Composers James Jandrisch (Sweet Magnolias) and Jeff Tymoschuk (Aurora Teagarden Mysteries) scored the 94-minute film; music supervisor Natasha Duprey (Snowpiercer) selected the two tracks that bookend the narrative. Here’s every song in Brazen, an adaption of Nora Roberts’ 1988 novel Brazen Virtue.
Brazen Soundtrack: Every Song in the 2022 Netflix Movie
- “Drifting Heart” by Roosevelt Nettles (00:06:00): Grace visits the home of her sister. Kathleen (Emilie Ullerup) discusses her past as a pill addict and current job as a teacher, along with the fact that she plans to fight her ex-husband, Jonathan, in a legal battle. The Brazen soundtrack song scores a transition sequence as Ed orders a medium tea and medium coffee at a convenience store. The music cuts as the police officer takes down a would-be robber. Ben (Malachi Weir) jokes about his colleague never paying for anything.
- “B.E. 62” by Chris Gestrin (01:29:00): Ed shoots Kathleen’s killer, Jerald Baxter (Matthew Finlan). Grace reacts nearby in a dominatrix outfit. The music plays during a transition scene featuring the main protagonists. Ed jokes about turning his girlfriend into a tea drinker; Grace states that the flavor is “Awaken the Senses.” The Brazen soundtrack song accompanies the final moments and continues during the end credits.
