American actor Michael Gandolfini stars as a younger version of Tony Soprano, a character made famous by his late father, James Gandolfini. The Sopranos: Paul Herman Is Beansie Gaeta in the HBO Series

Paul Herman first appears as Beansie Gaeta in The Sopranos season 2, episode 3 (“Toodle-Fucking-Oo”). He runs three pizza joints in New Jersey, and receives a visit from a member of Tony’s crew. After serving 10 years in prison, Richie Aprile (David Proval) believes that Beansie owes him money, due to being mentored as a drug dealer in the past. Herman’s character stands up for himself but gets severely beaten. Richie later drives into Beansie with a car and turns him into a paraplegic. Herman reprises his role in five more episodes, including a final appearance in The Sopranos season 6, episode 15 (“Remember When”).
